How can you tell if you broke a toe or two?

I was walking into our family room and hit my foot on the corner of the couch and heard a big crack. The two toes next to the big one are in lots of pain and being pregnant I can only take tylenol. I can move them but it is painful and they are swelling. Putting ice on it only makes them throb more. Wow I feel like a little kid complaining. I am going to try to put a pillow under it and try to sleep. Any advise is welcomed.

3 - ow ow ow ow Ow Ow OW OW OW!

There really isn't much that can be done with broken toes (I've had several over the years).

Splint with medical tape & popsicle sticks (make sure to tape LIGHTLY, it is very easy to cut off circulation). Elevate & ice. Tylenol should help a bit.

4 - If your toes are flopping around then they are broken, otherwise just very bruised. As a Tae Kwon Do Instructor and practicioner have done this and seen this a lot. Just put ice on your toes and they'll get better soon.
